5 years agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay came off the bench in the loss to Dallas to drop 18 points and eight rebounds in 28 minutes. This was a much-needed performance from Gay, who had gone the previous three games without scoring in double figures. He also chipped in a season-high four three-pointers, a startling amount for a guy shooting below 30 percent from distance on the season. Like many members of the Spurs, Gay has struggled all year with a dip in both scoring and rebounding, as well as his shooting from both inside and around the arc. Perhaps this is the outing to spark something in Gay, who will have to wait until the Spurs welcome in Detroit on Saturday to see if he can keep it going.--Daniel Lubofsky - RotoBaller
