Rudy Gobert Traded To Minnesota
2 years agoUtah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is being sent to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a massive trade. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year was traded for four first round draft picks. Also, the Jazz acquire Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Leandro Bolmaro as part of the deal. Somehow, the Wolves were able to pull off this trade without giving up Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards or D'Angelo Russell. Clearly, Minnesota believes Towns will be fine switching over to the power forward spot. This is a huge win for the Wolves who showed their upside as a team last season. From a fantasy perspective, Gobert is going to take away rebounds from Towns. However, Towns is likely to shoot more with the shift over to the power forward spot. The addition of Gobert shouldn't hurt Towns too much, so fantasy managers shouldn't panic. The hope is that all of them mix well together and they compete for a championship next season.
