5 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Russell Gage had his best game of the year by a longshot in Week 8, catching seven of his nine targets for 58 yards, all season-highs. He hadn't been targeted more than twice in a game yet this year, but backup quarterback Matt Schaub featured him heavily. Gage was the second-most-targeted Falcon in Week 8, behind Julio Jones and ahead of Calvin Ridley and Austin Hooper. With Mohamed Sanu gone, there will be an opportunity for more targets going forward for all the Falcons' pass-catchers but don't expect this to be a trend.
