2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook will not play Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves after entering the league's health and safety protocols. It's yet another blow to the league and the Lakers, who have won three straight. Avery Bradley has also entered protocols, so Los Angeles has signed free-agent Isaiah Thomas to a 10-day contract. Thomas could make an immediate impact for the short-handed Lakers, while LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be asked to do more of the heavy lifting.--Dale Johnson - RotoBaller
