5 years agoHouston Rockets point guard Russell Westbrook posted his eighth 30-point game of the month in Wednesday's loss to Portland, shooting 16-for-29 from the field on his way to a game-high 39 points. He also picked up 10 rebounds, six assists, a pair of steals and one block with six turnovers. In a bizarre twist, Westbrook is taking fewer threes this month, but he's scoring a lot more, upping his average output to 32.6 points. He's attempted only five treys in the past six games and three of them came on Wednesday. Westbrook will be in a solid spot for another 30-point performance on Friday against the Mavericks, who are a mediocre defensive team against point guards.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
