Russell Westbrook Takes Off For Rockets on Opening Night
5 years agoHouston Rockets guard Russell Westbrook recorded 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in his Rockets debut on Thursday. Many owners were questioning how pairing Westbrook with fellow usage monster James Harden would work, but on the first night it didn't seem to matter. The 2017 MVP drained three of his seven three-point attempts, and that should be encouraging for fantasy owners. In his final two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Westbrook took 4.1 and 5.6 three-point shots per game. A slight uptick in this new offense could be a sign of great things to come in Houston, especially with so much defensive attention going towards Harden. Keep an eye on his three-point attempts moving forward and on Saturday when he faces the New Orleans Pelicans.
