4 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Ryan McBroom will be the team's primary first baseman to start the 2020 season. The team is currently without Ryan O'Hearn, who has been in self-isolation after a positive COVID-19 test. The 28-year-old McBroom had his first stint in the majors last year and went on to slash .293/.361/.360 with five extra-base hits (all doubles) across 83 plate appearances. McBroom flashed some power in the minors, hitting 26 home runs with a .976 OPS over 117 games at Triple-A in 2019. There's a chance he could provide some power from the bottom of the Royals lineup, but his upside in a mediocre Royals lineup isn't high. For AL-only leagues, he should be on your radar, but he can remain on waivers in all mixed leagues.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
