6 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Ryan Yarbrough is slated to handle the majority of innings in Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals. Yarbrough has split his time between starting games and pitching out of the bullpen this season. However, this role of handling five to seven innings as a reliever appears to suit him. He has now pitched in this role in his last three outings, where he has pitched 19 innings with 21 strikeouts and just five earned runs. This role provides interesting fantasy value, as Yarbrough can supply pitching statistics you would expect from a starter without counting as a start in leagues. However, facing the Washington Nationals is a tough matchup, and Yarbrough is not someone you should be looking to use in shallow leagues Wednesday.--Ben Rolfe
