6 years agoDallas Mavericks center Salah Mejri collected 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and three blocks across just 19 minutes during Friday’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. His three swats tied a season high, as did the two triples that he knocked down. Prior to this season, Mejri had only made one three in his entire NBA career, but through play Friday has racked up nine in 2018-19 alone. The Mavericks’ big man comes off the bench and doesn’t receive a pile of minutes, but delivers across multiple categories when he’s on the floor. He faces Memphis again Sunday, looking to continue his recent hot streak.--Jesse Borek
