Sammy Watkins Expected Back Sooner Than Later

2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Sammy Watkins landed on the Non-Football Injury list this Tuesday. The team hasn't released any info as to why Watkins was placed on the list, but Packers reporter Rob Demovsky stated late on Tuesday that there is no long-term concern for Watkins. The team expects for him to be back on the field sooner rather than later. Watkins is entering his first season with the Packers after he spent one season with the Baltimore Ravens, catching 27 of his 49 targets for 394 yards and a touchdown. He's likely to be one of Aaron Rodgers' primary targets this season, but his long track record of injuries and inconsistency makes him someone to avoid in fantasy drafts this fall.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
