Dieng appeared in 16 games off the bench for San Antonio in '20-21, before playing last year with Atlanta, where he averaged a career-low 8.4 minutes per outing. With Jakob Poeltl holding down starting center duties for the Spurs, Dieng faces an uphill path to garnering significant minutes in the frontcourt, while Zach Collins stands to lead the team's second unit on the glass.
