Scottie Barnes Will Miss Tuesday’s Contest
3 years agoToronto Raptors point guard/power forward Scottie Barnes (wrist) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hornets due to swelling in his right wrist. Barnes' absence comes with Fred VanVleet (knee) already sidelined, which has allowed Chris Boucher to slide into the starting five. Gary Trent Jr. will serve as the team's starting point guard, but Malachi Flynn should see a sharp uptick in minutes off the bench, while Pascal Siakam is also a candidate for heavy ball-handling duties. Barnes has emerged as a First-team All-Rookie sensation this season, averaging 14.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists across his first 37 games. His next chance to suit up comes Wednesday vs. Chicago.
