6 years agoToronto Raptors power forward/center Serge Ibaka has embraced his role as his club’s starting center in the absence of Jonas Valanciunas, and while the latter appears nearing a return, Ibaka recorded his seventh consecutive double-double during Tuesday’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Matched up with All-Star Joel Embiid, Ibaka managed to collect 20 points on 10-for-15 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds across 27 minutes. Ibaka is currently averaging a career-best 16.1 points per game this season, which shouldn’t be too strongly affected by Valanciunas’ impending return, although Ibaka’s DFS potential could see a minor hiccup.--Jesse Borek
