4 years agoSergio Garcia has struggled in major championships since his 2017 victory at The Masters. Since his first major championship, Garcia has missed eight cuts in his last 12 major starts. He started off the 2021 season by missing the cut at the Safeway Open. He ranked 20th in greens-in-regulation percentage last week but failed to convert enough birdies to see the weekend. He ranked fourth in scrambling percentage last week, but scrambling will be much more difficult at the U.S. Open this week. Garcia has put together a great career, but we are not living in the past. He is not a good play this week at Winged Foot.--Connor Wege
