Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Returns With Game-High 31 Points
4 years agoOklahoma City Thunder point/shooting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wasted little time reacclimating himself as the preeminent offensive threat for the franchise, dropping 31 points in his first game back from a two-contest absence. With OKC still short-handed due to injuries, Gilgeous-Alexander added nine rebounds and seven assists while shooting 12-for-22 from the field. Now that he is back in action, Gilgeous-Alexander resumes his ascension into a top-tier fantasy asset as he possesses elite upside on a nightly basis with the Thunder in the throes of a full rebuild. He draws a much more difficult matchup his next time out, facing a Lakers defense Monday that is allowing the fewest PPG (103.6) in the league.
