Shane Bieber Delivers Quality Start At Coors Field
3 years agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Shane Bieber came through with a solid outing in the most-feared pitching venue in the majors on Tuesday. Facing the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, Bieber pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed nine hits, one walk and three earned runs while striking out seven. Two of the three runs he allowed came in the seventh inning of the game when outfielder Charlie Blackmon tagged him for a two-run homer. Bieber has now delivered quality starts in five of his last six outings and he has a 1.59 ERA over three starts in June. He'll bring a season-long 3.01 ERA and 1.16 WHIP into his next start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.
