Shane Greene Nails Down 16th Save of Season
7 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Shane Greene shut down the Minnesota Twins in order to close out Wednesday night's win. Greene struck out two in his flawless outing and is now an impressive 16-for-19 in save opportunities. He holds a 4.02 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP but has to start being taken seriously as a legitimate closer with the amount of opportunities he's getting along with his serviceable 9.77 K/9 rate. Greene holds value in AL-only, 12-team and even standard 10-team mixed leagues as long as saves are a category.
