6 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Shane Greene notched his 32nd save of the year on Tuesday night, shutting the door on the Minnesota Twins as part of a comeback 4-2 Tigers win. He walked one and struck out one in a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning. Greene is now 32-for-38 in save opportunities in 2018 to go along with a less-than-ideal 5.12 ERA, and 1.37 WHIP. His K/BB ratio sits at 65/19 across 63 1/3 innings, good for a solid 9.71 K/9. Greene has remained a steady, if unexciting, relief pitching option in fantasy leagues in 2018, though it remains to be seen if he will maintain his role in the Tigers organization heading into next year.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
