6 years agoPoint/shooting guard Shelvin Mack will join the Charlotte Hornets after he was claimed off waivers Sunday. Memphis traded Mack to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, upon where he was immediately released. Mack figures to factor into Charlotte’s backcourt which boasts Tony Parker as the backup to Kemba Walker, with Devonte’ Graham and Malik Monk also coming off the bench. Mack was averaging a career-high 22.7 minutes per game this season to go along with 7.9 points and 3.4 assists per contest prior to being dealt. The Hornets' next contest comes Monday versus the Indiana Pacers.--Jesse Borek
