Stephen Curry Erupts For 57-Point Showing Saturday
4 years agoGolden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry put on a classic shooting performance during Saturday's defeat to the Mavericks, dropping 57 points in the process. Curry went a mind-boggling 11-for-19 from behind the arc, shooting 19-for-31 overall while the Warriors were held to a nine-man rotation due to injuries. After knocking down seven threes in the first half, there was reason to believe that Curry could approach teammate Klay Thompson's NBA record of 14 triples in a single outing, but that did not come to pass. Adding five assists, two rebounds, and two steals, Curry further showcased why he is arguably the premier GPP play in DFS on a nightly basis. He carries a 35.6 PPG average over his last five contests into a matchup Monday with the Spurs, whom he notched a double-double against back on Jan. 20.
