2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Steven Matz (shoulder) is expected to make one more rehab start before returning to the major league rotation. If that happens, Matz would make a start before the all-star break. The 31-year-old lefty has been out since late May with a left shoulder impingement. After a solid 2021 season, Matz has fallen on hard times with the Cardinals this year. He has a 3-3 record with a 6.03 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 44 strikeouts over 37 ⅓ IP. While he is likely to improve on his disastrous numbers, he doesn't need to be rostered in most leagues. He should still remain a decent streamer when he faces weak competition.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
