3 years agoSungjae Im returns to the PGA Tour after uncharacteristically taking a couple of events off. The last time we saw Im was at the Farmers Insurance Open, where he finished T6. Now, Im will head to LA, looking to make the first cut of his career at the Genesis Invitational. In his career at this event, Im has followed a similar pattern. Both times Im has shot one round under 70, then one round at or over 75, leading to his missed cuts. Will this be the year Im finally see's the weekend at Riviera? It is very possible. Im sits third on tour in strokes gained around the green, and seventh in strokes gained off the tee. Im also sits second on tour in bogey avoidance, another important factor this week. With all things considered, Im should see the weekend for the first time in his career in LA this week. --Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller
