6 years agoAtlanta Falcons defensive end Takkarist McKinley (shoulder) is atop the first depth chart the Falcons have released. McKinley has struggled to get on the field this training camp due to a shoulder contusion. However, McKinley is considered available for the first preseason game. How much he plays will be interesting to see, but with the Falcons planning to use him as a starter in the regular season they are unlikely to expose him too much at this stage. A fit and healthy McKinley could cause a lot of damage as a starter, especially considering he put up six sacks in a part-time role in 2018.--Ben Rolfe
