Talen Horton-Tucker Receives Qualifying Offer
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers guard Talen Horton-Tucker received a $1.9 million qualifying offer from the team. The move will make the 20-year-old a restricted free agent while also allowing L.A. to match any subsequent offers from clubs throughout the league. Horton-Tucker is expected to draw plenty of interest during the offseason, so the franchise may be forced to dig deep into its pockets to retain his services. The former Iowa State Cyclone had flashes of efficiency during the 2020-21 campaign, finishing things up by averaging nine points. However, he really shined when inserted into the starting lineup, posting 12.8 points, 7.5 assists, and 1.5 steals throughout four games with that designation. If given a chance, he could be in store for a productive fantasy season, as long as category managers are willing to take a hit as it relates to his shoddy shooting percentage.
