Taurean Prince Still Working His Way Back
6 years agoAtlanta Hawks small forward Taurean Prince scored double-figures for the first time since returning from injury five games ago against Chicago on Wednesday. Prince finished with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in the Hawks 20-point victory. He made six of 10 shots from the field, including three of seven from beyond the arc. The 24-year-old has seen his minutes increase in each of his last five outings, which included starting the past two games and playing 28 minutes on Wednesday. While the Hawks have made the third-year wing available in trades, there are no indications that a deal will take place, so until something changes Prince is the team's primary offensive producer, and he should continue to see his minutes increase. The Trail Blazers, who the Hawks face on Saturday, ranks in the bottom 10 in points allowed to opposing small forwards on the year, but the Blazers have been much better at defending opposing wing players over the last 10 games.
