Taylor Hearn Traded To Rangers
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Taylor Hearn has been traded to the Texas Rangers. Hearn will be the first of two players heading to the Rangers in return for Keone Kela. The young left-handed pitcher has a 3.12 ERA and 107 strikeouts in 104 innings at Double-A. Hearn adds some strikeout upside to the Rangers farm system. It is possible, but unlikely, that we see Hearn in the majors for a short period before the end of the season. If that does happen then he may be an interesting spot starter. However, Hearn appears to have solid long-term fantasy value, but pitching in Texas is likely to put a dent in his dynasty value a little.
