3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward (hamstring) was held out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays due to a sore hamstring. However, he entered the game as a pinch-hitter and went on to go 1-for-2 with a two-run home run. Ward sat out each of the team's previous two games before Wednesday's contest. Even though many fantasy managers likely had Ward on their bench on Wednesday, it's encouraging to see him go yard after a two-game absence. The Angels are off on Thursday, but we can safely expect to see Ward back in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Oakland Athletics.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
