Teoscar Hernandez Slugs Two Bombs In Leadoff Spot
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder was a late leadoff replacement for Bo Bichette in Monday’s 4-1 win over the Nationals, but that didn’t seem to affect the 27-year-old. Hernandez popped a solo homer in the first inning off Anibal Sanchez, and then followed that up with another solo shot off the right-hander in the fifth. It was the first two long balls of the season for Hernandez, who is now 5-for-17 on the season with a pair of doubles. He hit 26 home runs in 125 games a year ago and could be in for a productive 60-game campaign if he can stay hot.
