Terrence Ross, R.J. Hampton Land In Safety Protocols, Out Friday
3 years agoOrlando Magic small forward Terrence Ross and point/shooting guard R.J. Hampton have been placed in the league's health and safety protocols and will miss at least Friday night's game. Their absence has left the Magic backcourt extremely thin with Cole Anthony (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (thumb) sidelined; Gary Harris and Mychal Mulder are the only usual backcourt members active against the Heat. Ross had begun to find his offensive rhythm over his past four contests, in which he averaged 18 points per game off the bench; Hampton made his first start of the season Wednesday and logged 15 points. The next chance that either of the duo has to suit up comes Saturday vs. Brooklyn, although that seems highly unlikely due to the nature of the protocols.
