Thaddeus Young Scores 18 With Eight Rebounds

4 years agoChicago Bulls forward Thaddeus Young scored 18 points with eight rebounds, three triples, two steals, and a block in a 115-106 win over the Washington Wizards. Young is in the midst of his best stretch since the start of the season, with 11.1 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the field and 38.5 percent shooting from deep. The problem for the 31-year-old has been his playing time- he's lost minutes to frontcourt youngsters Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr and, Luke Kornet. Young's best days are clearly behind him, but if he can keep playing well, there's room for minutes in a banged-up Bulls frontcourt. A tough matchup awaits on Friday against the defensively-strong 76ers.--Tim Capurso
