5 years agoDetroit Pistons forward Thon Maker only played in 17 minutes of a 115-100 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers but still had a solid stat line. Maker tallied nine points, six rebounds, two assists, one triple, one block, and one steal. He and teammate Christian Wood have formed a sort of committee to replace Blake Griffin (knee) though Wood possesses more upside. Still, it's hard to ignore Maker's per 36-minute averages of 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. At this point, it's better to have Wood on a roster than Maker, though the latter would be a good option if something happened to the former.--Tim Capurso
