2 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson had a rough day at the plate in the team's 6-3, 10-inning loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday. He went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts. It was the first time this year that the 29-year-old had struck out more than twice in a game. He's been doing a fantastic job of avoiding strikeouts throughout the year with a season-long 14.3% strikeout rate, down substantially from his career 23.4% strikeout rate. His power production has been lacking a bit as he's slugged .440 with five homers over 52 games on the year. However, his .520 xSLG (up from .448 last year) suggests he's still making a lot of hard contact despite the low home run total.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
