3 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Tim Mayza (elbow) underwent an MRI on his elbow on Friday. The exam came up clean and he is set to be reassessed on Sunday. After that, the hope is that he will begin a throwing program and have a quick buildup from there. Mayza was placed on the 15-day injured list earlier this week. The 30-year-old has been one of the team's top setup men this year, pitching to a 2.08 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP while collecting seven holds.
