3 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Tim Mayza (elbow) is set to begin playing catch either on Saturday or Sunday. The left-hander just received a negative MRI on his elbow. He has been shut down for the past week while allowing for his forearm inflammation to subside. Mayza has had a nice year so far as one of the Jays' top setup men. He is second on the team in holds with seven, trailing only Yimi Garcia, who has eight. Mayza has a 2.08 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP over 13 innings on the year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
