7 years agoColorado Rockies Triple-A catcher Tom Murphy has been on fire this year for the Albuquerque Isotopes. Murphy has now hit safely in nine of his last ten games entering Sunday. Murphy was a hot name heading into last season, but injuries prevented him from making much of an impact at the major league level. It was a bit of an upset that Murphy did not break camp this year with the big league club, but he is not letting that slow him down. Murphy is more of a threat to help fantasy owners next year as the club is set with Chris Iannetta for the time being, but if he were to get hurt, Murphy would be worth an add as he has one of the best power bats in the minor leagues for a catcher and would have Coors field to his advantage.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
