7 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Tom Murphy was taken out of the game against the Angels after taking a backswing to the helmet. Murphy should be fine, though, as manager Bud Black does not seem to be concerned about his catcher at this point in time. Murphy has not exactly had the best spring training so far with a batting average of .172, and with Chris Iannetta signed to be the primary catcher for the Rockies, Murphy will really only get time provided Iannetta is being rested or is injured. Consider Murphy day-to-day for now.--Caden Inaba
