Trae Young Among Worst In Scoring Efficiency
6 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young scored nine points on 4-for-15 shooting from the field, including 0-for-3 from the three-point line, in Friday's loss to the Thunder. He doled out eight assists, collected four rebounds and turned the ball over twice in 28 minutes. It was the eighth straight game that he had averaged one or fewer points per shot. For the season, the 20-year-old rookie is producing just 1.06 points per shot, which is only the 13th best mark on the Hawks. On a positive note, the former Oklahoma star dished out 8.1 dimes in November and currently ranks seventh in the NBA with 7.6 assists a game. Young struggled against the Warriors, who the Hawks face on Monday, as he compiled just four points on 2-for-12 shooting to go along with nine assists and five rebounds in an earlier meeting this season (Nov. 13).
