Trae Young Dishes Out Season-High 16 Assists During Defeat

4 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young returned to the lineup for Friday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder after a one-game absence and promptly picked up where he left off as it pertains to finding his teammates for buckets. Young logged his 15th double-double of the year, setting a new season high by accruing 16 assists. His 7-for-20 effort from the field tied for his lowest shooting percentage in over a month, but his 26-point effort still gives him an average of 31 points across 10 January contests. Named an All-Star starter last week, Young has emerged as an elite fantasy option this season and next faces a porous Wizards defense Sunday, one which plays at a similarly rapid pace as that of Atlanta.--Jesse Borek
