6 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young looked back to himself during Sunday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets, finishing with 18 points while knocking down four threes. It was an enormous malaise Young went through with just one made three over his last six games. But despite his 22.6 percent clip from deep coming into the night, Young kept on firing. It was a modest stat night for the rookie, but the message remains clear: Young is going to get run on a nightly basis and key the Atlanta offense. It may be maddening for owners some nights, but the team is invested in him as their future.--Jesse Borek
