5 years agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was held in check during the second leg of a back-to-back Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls. Also playing his second consecutive game without the assistance of forward John Collins (suspension), Young finished 3-for-12 from the field overall, including 0-for-8 from three, to collect just nine points and three assists in 29 minutes. Despite the bumpy outing, there are likely better days ahead for Young, whom the franchise will lean heavily upon, especially in Collins’ absence. Owners will remember the peaks and valleys Young endured last year, as he aims to turn the corner beginning Friday versus Sacramento in what should be a matchup featuring a frenetic pace.--Jesse Borek
