Trae Young Struggles In Summer League Debut
6 years agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young's introduction to the NBA didn't go well. In his first game of the Summer League, Atlanta's first-round draft pick started the game 0-for-9 from the field. He eventually finished with 16 points, but it came on 4-for-20 shooting, including a 1-for-11 mark from downtown and a 7-for-10 night from the free throw line. Young had four rebounds and three assists as well. Young's second-half performance was promising, but his night as a whole displayed the streakiness that had made him a controversial lottery pick. It's far too early to make any claims about Young's game, but it wasn't the greatest start for the former Oklahoma star.
