3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner is off to a slow start offensively in the month of May. Through seven games, he's gone just 5-for-28 at the plate, slashing .179/.233/.214. He has just one extra-base hit (a double) and he has yet to attempt a stolen base. It's been an underwhelming start to the year overall for Turner as he's slugging just .346 with only one home run. However, fantasy managers should be confident that better power numbers lie ahead. He currently has a minuscule 4.0% HR/FB rate. He's making good contact with a 46.3% hard-hit rate and a 90.2 mph average exit velocity, but his average launch angle is just 4.1 degrees. We should see the 28-year-old start racking up homers once he starts getting under the ball more consistently.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
