6 years agoWashington Wizards small/power forward Trevor Ariza filled up the box score during his 40 minutes played in Monday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons. Ariza finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals, while shooting an uber-efficient 10-for-14 from the field, knocking down a trio of three-pointers. His 10 made buckets set a new season high, last reaching that mark Jan. 24, 2016. Even with the group of Jeff Green, Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis all jockeying for minutes alongside him in the frontcourt, Ariza has established himself as the top dog, one that will likely continue seeing ample minutes as the Wizards make a push for a playoff spot.--Jesse Borek
