6 years agoWashington Wizards small forward/power forward Trevor Ariza registered his second double-double in 16 games with the team as he posted 20 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists in Monday's win over the Pistons. The 33-year-old was 7-for-13, 2-for-5 from beyond the arc, and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Ariza has become the team's second option in the offense, and while he is not shooting the ball well, the 15th-year pro is averaging 14.7 points and 2.4 three-pointers on 37.2 percent shooting from the field and 31 percent from long distance to go along with 6.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists a game since being acquired. This game marked his third 20-point contest in the last four games and the fifth occasion with the team. Ariza, who has made 14 trifectas over the previous four games, will look to extend his streak to consecutive games with a triple to five in a row versus the Warriors on Thursday.--Daniel Benjamin
