Tristan Thompson Records Double-Double In First Game Of Year
5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson tied for the team high with 16 points during Wednesday’s loss in the season opener to the Orlando Magic. His stat line was right in line with where many fantasy owners envision the veteran big man finishing most nights as he went 8-for-11 from the floor and pitched in 11 rebounds. Thompson had just one double-double over his first six games last season, a number he’ll look to surpass quickly into the new year when he faces the Pacers on Saturday. Cleveland’s backcourt remains supremely young, so while much of Thompson’s value comes from cleaning up the glass, he’s a reliable source of output on a rebuilding squad.
