5 years agoThe Minnesota Twins called up pitcher Lewis Thorpe from Triple-A prior to Friday's game. Thorpe is one of the organization's top prospects and will look to make his MLB debut this weekend. The Twins fired through their bullpen in Thursday's 18-inning thriller against the Rays, so Thorpe may just be up for a short stint to give the team's bullpen arms some rest this weekend. It hasn't been a great year at Triple-A for Thorpe as he is 3-4 with a 5.84 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 88 strikeouts and 21 walks across 69 1/3 innings.
