3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) will be placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement. The 26-year-old was held out of action for each of the team's last two games while battling the shoulder injury. At first, it had sounded like a minor injury, but clearly it's worse than the team originally thought. It's been a rough start to the year for O'Neill, who is slashing .195/.256/.297 with two home runs, three stolen bases, 20 RBI and 14 runs over 32 games. His absence will make it easier for the team to continually slot rookie Juan Yepez into the lineup. We could also see Corey Dickerson earn some additional playing time.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
