2 years agoCincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson left Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals with a broken clavicle, according to the team's official Twitter account. Stephenson was hit by a foul tip from the bat of the third batter of the game. He appeared to be in pain and was checked on by trainers but remained in the game for two more pitches until he attempted to field a dribbler in front of the plate. When he went to throw the ball to first base, he fell to his knees in pain and left the game. Stephenson is currently without a timetable for a return to the field.
