Tyler Stephenson Homers In Win Over Colorado
3 years agoCincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson went 1-for-3 with a homer, an RBI, two runs, and two walks in an 11-5 win over the Colorado Rockies on Friday. Stephenson swatted a solo homer off of starter Kyle Freeland in the fifth inning in the lopsided win. The rookie catcher has been solid at the plate this season, hitting .267 with four homers, 21 runs, and 17 RBI over 131 at-bats. He has shown a good eye at the plate thus far, ranking in the 70th percentile in walk rate and 86th percentile in whiff percentage. Stephenson should be rostered in deeper leagues as a potential impact bat at the catcher position.
