3 years agoCincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson is getting the day off on Thursday for the first game of the series in San Diego. Tucker Barnhart will catch and bat seventh against Padres starter Joe Musgrove. This appears to be a routine day off for the rookie backstop who has forced his way into fantasy relevancy in deeper leagues. Barnhart is batting a solid .263 with strong plate discipline metrics and a .349 wOBA. He'll likely continue to cede some starts to Barnhart, but Stephenson is a quality starter in two-cater formats or deeper one-catcher leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
